I was an employee of Jensen Tire and Auto for over four years at Store #21 in Bellevue. I was told by the store manager, Dan Steffensmier, and service manager, Roger Cote, to bump the camera during free alignment checks to show that they were out of specifications. When the camera was bumped, they wanted the technician to print out the copy to show the customer that itis out of alignment. Then, after they sold the alignment, they would just print the actual copy that was in specifications and back the car off of the alignment rack, thus never so much as putting a wrench on the vehicle and chargingthe customer for it. I refused to do this and they would get irritated at me for it. I told the service manager that I wasn't going to rip people off for an extra dime in my paycheck and his reply was, "Well, my family needs to eat. "Another trickthey do is to sell rotors instead of turning them, when doing a brake service. When you do a brake check, you measure the rotors to see if they are thick enough to be turned. If they aren't, they must be replaced. However, at Jensen Tire, they will press very firmly on the micrometer so that it shows a smaller measurement, resulting in you needing new rotors. Rotors aren't cheap and it pays more and takes less time to replace them then to turn them. I witnessed so many dishonest things at this shop and ask you not to do business with this company. They take advantage of every situation they can. If you do decide to do business there, during your "free alignment check", go back and watch them do it. This will prevent them from bumping the camera. I know that these types of things happen at every Jensen Tire and not only this one in Bellevue. If you want honesty, find another auto repair shop.
