Well, where do I begin? Should I start on their inventory, or go straight to when they order parts? Yea, they give you a discount, so you think. Have you ever wondered how they can take an $800 brake job, pads and rotors, and wonder how they can give you 50% off? Well lets just say that even though your getting that nice discount, so you think, they are still making well over on most jobs 85-90% profit! Now thats if they have those parts in stock for your car/truck and don't have to order out from another parts store. If they do that, then you pay on most occasions 3 times the cost they get it. For example, say a rotor costs them $30, they will charge you for that same rotor you can buy for $30 if you got it yourself, but instead they will mark it up to $99. Now as far as their inventory, say that same rotor we just talked about is in stock, their cost on that same rotor is anywhere between $10-$20, and there selling it for $139.99 or higher.

Same thing with brake pads, you can get ceramic pads for most cars/trucks if you buy them yourself for $40-$80 depending on brand name. However, Monro sells them for $130-and higher, no labor there either

Break this down,
2 brake rotors you buy on average will run $70 for both total
1 set of 4 premium ceramic pads you buy will run $50
Doing it yourself labor is free, or find a friend or a mechanic on craigslist most do pads and rotors for like $60 if you bring your own parts Total if done that way, Around $180, and thats a rough idea and I think i'm just a little high on that too.

With that said, I just saved another 50% off there already 50% off they supposedly gave you to begin with. Yes, they offer pads free for life, which is built into the price and you still have to pay the labor to do it again anyway. Labor is at least 1 hour at the going labor rate. So really, the pads may sound free, but your still paying for them.

The parts they have in inventory, not just brakes, but exhaust, suspension, alternators, starters, struts, shocks, etc... Is all marked up at least 200-400% over their cost.

I think you get what I'm saying, so save your money, find someone who will take care of you and your wallet.
