Ripoff ford taures

I bought a used 2001 ford taures with 25000 miles on it I had it for 6 months when the tranny started acting up I ended up putting a new tranny around 47000 miles in it then now at about 60000 they have found metal shavings in the tranny but am trying to get out of fixing it saying it may be neglect
