11/5/03 car taken to clearwater location, inspection completed and told $99.88 would cover all needed; brakes & disc pads. They called and said they didn't have parts and car would be ready next day. They called me, saying all work was done. I picked up car, paying the bill. Upon driving my car noises were heard. Called and told them and car was brought back and I waited.
They advised the pads were defective and new ones would have to be ordered plus they beveled 2 pads as they did not fit, which caused the noise. When questioning them how they knew the pads were defective, they told me they were cracked and sometimes this happens, but he would eat the cost of those and get another pair. They would call next day when pads in. Did not hear from them on Sat. And called Mon 11/10/03. Pads were in Husband took car and wanted to see pads.
He saw that they had the original pads on and that meant they never put new ones on. My husband asked for the pads, which the employee said had disappeared and no one knew anything about anything. Bottom line they lied and tried to rip us off. They said it was company policy not to tell or write anything if the job was not completed. They would call when the part came in. Right.
I searched the internet and learned the corporation's Resident agent is C.T. Corporation System, 1200 South Pine Island Road, Plantation Fl 33324 Phone (850) 222 1092 They registed in Florida as Just Brakes of Florida, 3810 W. Northwest Hwy, Suite 240, Dallas, Tx 75220. Perry Cloud is regisered as PCD at 214 276 5504. However when you call that number and I ask to speak with the CEO, President or owner, and what was the name she told me no that information was not public information and I could only speak with Jim, but he is not available and has voice mail.
I now learned that he is manager of customer service. I called back and she informed me that she had given me all the information she could and I must talk to Jim and no he was not available... I can truly say I amglad I have an American Express Card that I charged the costs to, as I have turned it over to them. They offer up to $300 refund on transactions such as this. I am also sending this information to State Attorney and Newspapers in the area.
