I am miffed that Cadillac's solution to a failing board on the windshield washer fluid heater is to remove it and pay me $100.00. This car was almost $60,000 and this is a part of the luxury of the car.
Last week when I took my car in for another service issue they performed the recall and informed me that they had removed the function and the parts because there was a risk of fire. Luckily I will get $100.00 check in the mail. I think this is a ripoff and they should fix the part that was a feature of the car.
Hopefully others feel the same way and will file a claim for this rip-off.
I have not signed any releases or paperwork. The dealer is doing this for me.
When I complained to the Service writer, she shrugged her shoulders like there was nothing she could do about it. She probably can't do anything but it stinks.
