I purchased a 1970 Chevy Nova without looking at the car and knowing it was an AS IS sale. I went based on there website advertising includind a photo array, deatailed description of car, and many questions asked to both the salesman and service Mngr. I felt confident everything was as advertsied, they do videos where there owner states when you get a car from us everything works just turn the key and go. The car shows up it has a do not touch sticker covering a crack in the windshield, the dash lights do not work neither does the speedometer or odemeter. The lowered suspension as advertised all 4 tires rub real bad and there basically is no suspension. Further review of the car reveals the show qaulity paint only applied to 95% of the car all the bottom lips panels of the car have surface rust. The car was advertsied as having a folder full of receipts on a "fresh" 383 stroker motor and "fresh" turbo 440 trans. Turns out there are no receipts on the trans which leak trans fluid, the motor was a rebuild over 3 years old with an oil leak and is not even a 383 it's a 350 big differance. The mileage was advertised as 93,229 I signed a purchase rec and odemeter statement for temp tags in Maryland no mileage discrepency boxes checked. The speedometer does not work which means the odometer does not work. No idea of the real mileage. The base plate of the carberator is cracked which is a fire hazrd. I call within the hour no answer go back and forth with the salesman and GM. I make numerous offers for them to just take the car back and refund my money I will pay the shipping no deal. Owner gets involved offers 750.00 only so I won't bad mouth him. I put in complaint with the MD Ag's office they either know the dealer or cause I'm from another state they do not care. The dealer knew of all the problems before the car was shipped and knowingly and falsely advertised the car and mileage. They were suppose to be very reputable doesn't appear so. The receipts on the motor prove it's not a 383. The title and bill of sale after trying for 3 weeks to get them show up and show the mileage to be not correct proving they knew that. All my paperwork and talks with them show it to be the as advertised. Bottom line is I asked that seeing as how I have already had to spend money on suspension parts and a windshield just to drive the car and be able to get an inspection sticker I asked them that they pay to replace the motor and trans with what was advertised and also pay for the susp parts and windshield. That is not happening. I'm stuck in an expensive rut right now. Thanks Mark Fogaren
