I nearly got taken. We were looking for my daughter a car via the internet, craigslist etc. This site came up as one of the many dealerships which had a Mazda3 in stock. The posting was on Auto Trader.com and appeared to be legitimate. Once on their site I was able to view the carfax report, and look at pictures of the car. The site claims they are a Repo broker and because they buy directly from the banks and auction houses they can offer the vehicles at incredibly low prices. Once you find the car you like there is actually a buy this vehicle button. The purchase instructions state that you must wire the deposit, approx. 2/3 the purchase price, to a particular individual and address and the car will be shipped within 5 days. Once at your door you have 3 days to inspect the vehicle and pay the remaining due. Skeptical, I clicked the online chat button on the site to see if I could fly down pay cash and drive the vehicle home myself.
