After Parker's illegally sold my family and I a mini-van without verbally or in writing declaring it a used Rental vehicle, they agreed to let us use it as a trade in on something else on their lot. I test drove a vehicle, and on May 14th wanted to make an offer on it. A totally refundable deposit of $500 was required of me to do so. So my card was charged, and a meeting with the General Manager was made for the following morning. I, along with step-father showed up for the meeting but were stood up by the G.M. Of Parker's. The sales associate then told us they would give us $6000.00 (half of what we originally paid) for the used rental van they illegally sold us. We laughed and left. Actually, we waited for Candid Camera to come out first, then we left but not without assuring my Credit Card would be credited the $500. The following Monday, we were in need of a rental vehicle as the transmission on the illegally sold used rental van we were sold already needed replacing. Parker's, being the stand up institution that they are (har, har,) offered to front the money they would be getting back from our insurer for the rental vehicle. We were still required however, to leave a credit card number with the car rental company. We called Parker's to make sure that the money had been put back on our card, and were assured that it had been. It is May 29th, over two weeks since that deposit had been left, and we still have no signs showing that it is on its way back onto our credit card. Irregardless of whether it shows up tomorrow or not, Parker's has held our family's funds ransom for over two weeks without showing any remorse or feeling the need to apologize. Our experience with Parker's Dodge in Penticton, that I am guessing was once owned and operated by honorable men, has been an absolute nightmare. If you are looking for a dealership that ethically sells and looks after their customers, DON'T GO TO PARKER"S CHRYSLER IN PENTICTON!!!
