I do not mean to make this so long but I really need to warn others and maybe get some help for myself. Here's a little of my story:
In August I financed a car through US Bank at Hyundai of El Paso through the MILES program; I paid every note on time, as it came out of my paycheck automatically.in January of my husbandand I were deployed for 15 months. On April 21, I received anemail from my brother saying that my car had been towed from the apartment complex where it was parked and that theyneeded my information to go pick it up. On April 26 I providedthe information to them via email and I followed up with them on April 29. On April 30, my mother emailed me that she had spoken with the towing company and that someone by the name of Robert Vincent had picked up my car; I told her I didn't know anyone by that name and they were going to report it stolen. On May 5, my brother emailed
me the amount it would cost to get my car out of the pound, on the same
day I received another email from my mom that said my car had been
repossessed because it had been abandoned. On May 12, I was
emailed by my mom that someone by the name of Jimmy had informed her
that they were going to auction my car, that I was still paying for. On
may 15 I went to talk to legal counsel at the base legal office, and
it's just a back and forth struggle. They repossessed my car and sold
it while I was still paying for it, I made an attempt to get it back by
agreeing to pay 1,337.64 plus storage fees of 7.58 per day, I got a POA
for my mom to go to, also according to Mr Priebe Dallas Texas to pick up
my car. On June 5 my mom emailed me once again after she had
spoken to the repossession department and had been informed that I would
have to pay at least 3000 to get my car from the auction place, that was
not located in Dallas Texas but in Mystic Texas. So now I have no car and a repossession on my credit report that stops me from getting anything worthwhile. Please Help. There is more to this story, I do have all emails and names of everyone
that I spoke with, I have all of my check stubs that show I never missed
any payment, however due to the lack of participation and common
courtesy from US bank I have not been able to retrieve this contract... What can I do
