Visited this dealership (as well as others) several times looking for a specific type of vehicle. They came up with the SUV we had been looking for and at a very reasonable price. After several hours of haggling, they refused to give us proper trade in on previous vehicle claiming "auction price" which was half of the proper NADA and KBB values, then tried the bait and switch to make it look like we were getting proper trade in value but also jacking up the price well above the previously agreed upon amount.
We walked out of there refusing to work with them and were almost to our vehicle until the manager ran out and wrote up a legal paper saying they accept the offer we originally agreed upon, not the reduced trade in or increased vehicle price. During the process we were shown a carfax that appeared to be clean, but it was not until after the purchase was complete and several weeks later I started noticing small things that had been previously repaired. The carfax shown to us was not the one that matched the vehicle we bought according to the VIN.
This vehicle had been in a major accident on the passenger side and the repair work was cleverly hidden but not unnoticeable. There was paint over spray on the roof down the middle (a perfect line from front to back), the passenger seat plastic cover on the side was cracked and recently fell off, the passenger rear door trim refuses to stay down, there is paint "orange peel" at the front edge of the fender above the headlight. The passenger side mirror and front headlight has numbers that do not match the driver side, which all vehicles have matching numbers from the factory. Also when the alignment was done, it appears the passenger side is a little over an inch longer than the drivers side meaning that a frame stretcher was likely used to straighten it.
Now that we know, we are looking for a replacement vehicle and we cannot get proper trade in because we were scammed by this dealership and will likely have to take a loss.
