Today I bought a bolt from Grossman Chevrolet. While the parts guy was looking up the part number, I asked if they sell their parts for list price. He said "NO" and stated that they ADD a little to the price! I paid 6.35 plus tax for the bolt.
I got home and checked what the List price is for the bolt. I found 2 prices. GMpartsdirect is the place to look up GM parts list price if you know the part number. List price is $3.84 Their price is always discounted off of list and they want $2.19 plus S&H.
Another great place to do business is Pace Performance in Ohio. They also discount off of LIST price. They want $2.86 plus S&H
So the parts guy at Grossman wasn't kidding about a little markup. They socked it to me with a 65% up charge on top of list price! WOW!
My local dealer was out of this bolt thats why I went to Grossman. Shakopee Chevrolet Olds Pontiac normally hooks me up with about a 25% discount off of list. Those guys know how to treat a customer.
