Spoke with sales person Steve on Feb. 22 and got a quote on a set of tires for my 85 mustang. Steve quoted me $90 per tire and $18 per tire for delivery. I was satisfied with the charges and continued with the order, gave Steve my credit card number and was told that I would get my oder on Monday March 1 and and e-mail confirmation with charges by 6:00 that evening. About 15 minutes later Steve called back saying that there was a problem with my address not matching my debit card so I told him no problem let's just put the order in my husbands name. I gave Steve my husbands credit card info and after 15 minutes Steve called back again saying that my husbands credit card had a problem with the address also. I told Steve that I would call our credit union in the morning (Feb 23) to have the problem checked out and would call him after.
After calling the credit union and having the problem fixed (something with when we ordered the cards they were sent to the credit union instead of our home) I called Steve and gave him permission to proceed with the transaction. Steve called back after approximately 15 minutes and confirmed that the order had been processed and everything was the same. On Feb 24 when I still hadn't received the e-mail so I called Steve to inform him that I still hadn't received the e-mail and he assured me that he would send it to me asap and that he had gotten busy and forgot. On Feb. 25 I still hadn't received an e-mail but didn't call Steve because I was working. On Friday Feb. 26 I was checking my checking account balance and saw that USA tires and wheels had drafted $799 from my account which was almost double the price that I was quoted. It was after business hours and USA was closed on the weekend so I had to wait until Monday to contact Steve. On Monday when I called USA, I was disconnected 2 times.
On the 3rd attempt I was very frustrated and explained the situation to one another salesman who was very rude and argumentive. I immediately asked for a supervisor and was put on hold. Steve finally came to the phone and was very rude and confrontational and also would not allow me to speak to a manager. After I realized that I wasn't going to speak with a manager I demanded a refund and told Steve that he hadn't honored his part of the transaction by not e-mailing me a receipt, that I may as well just walked into a store and handed a cashier $799 for a $400 item an not gotten a receipt and that this whole mess could have been taken care of on day 1 if I had gotten the e-mail with the incorrect charges. Steve immediately and rudely said that there was a 25% cancellation fee and there was no way of getting out of paying it.
I asked Steve why should I have to pay for a cancellation fee when up to this point you and your company have not honored anything that you said you would up to this point. Steve abruptly interrupted me and said that he was busy and he would look into it and call me back later. Steve never called me back. On the next day I made several attempts to contact Steve but was always put on hold and eventually hung up on. That is a bunch of crap that USA is the best company to order tires and wheels from and the guy on this site that is saying that is probably an employee from USA attempting to get some positive publicity because if you research more complaints on this site as well as the Better Business Bureau, everyone's complaints are very similar which leads me to conclude that this company is into quoting 1 price via phone/internet but charging the customer another and good luck with attepting to get your money back.
