I found a pair of Rims and Tires online (Ebay). After talking to Steve Hamilton, via email, I went ahead and purchased 4 wheels and tires for $1721.00. It took two and half weeks for the wheels to arrive. When they did, I went over to NTB to get them installed. I was surprised to find right at 50mph there is the most annoying vibration in the wheel. I contacted Steve and explained to him what had happened. He told me to put rubber bands on the hubs and that would fix everything. I went back to NTB and balanced the tires. That did not fix the problem. Steve continues to tell me that other sops can fix it. He also explained to me that he will pay for fixing this issue. I havespent $85 dollars at National tire and battery, and again $60 at discount.
I cant tell you how upset I am with the performance (vibration) of theses wheels and tires. Both shops have different stories on why this happening. NTB, claims the wheels are defective. Discount, says that these wheels are not right for my truck (Toyota). I have exhausted all avenues. I cant tell you the frustration of sitting and waiting for them to finish my truck, only to hear that its not fixable. I have spent lots of money and TIME trying to figure this out. Steve is a very good sales person. He must have been selling cars sometime in his life. He will tell you stories and sell you dreams. He sells 2nd class rims and tires that are DEFECTIVE. Please do yourself a favor go to your local shop and buy rims there. Steve will make it seem like he will save you money. But it is not worth the $100 dollars to get rims and tires that are not safe to drive.
