My father purchased a hwy Motor scooter from Gooch's powersports. He received a bill of sale and a receipt. He paid for the scooter also tag and taxes. The title was to be mailed to him. What really happened is that Gooch's pocketed my dads money and never paid the supplier who enturn didn't send gooch's the title that should of been sent to my dad. Gooch's did this to sooo many people. They are now going chapter 11. I asked them for a refund, a trade, They wouldn't do it. My father has since passed away. I tried and tried to do this for my father. They gave multiple drive out tags, to anyone i sent in there to get one. So i turned them in for that. I also sent copies and wrote their insurance bond. Still nothing. 1 -1/2 years later. I can't put it in a probate, get a title, or sell it to help pay funeral costs. It technically doesn't exist. I've called the tag offices etc, their attorney. On and on. They offer no restitution. Not to my father while he was alive or to me. My dad was alive for 6 months after, trying to get the title ever the last weeks of his life he asked for it.
He had sold his honda goldwing that had become difficult to drive so he could buy this scooter, which was easier. He loved to ride... This is sooo wrong. Because of their chapter 11, the law protects them. Do not buy from gooch's powersports in madison tn...
