My wife and i own a used truck dealership in ohio. We also have our own full service station that honors extended warranties with customers. We get the claims approved and than to the work. We let the customers take the vehicles and the warranty companies pay for the service.
We service all of our inventory before we sell them and than had been putting a 6 month eagle warranty on them that we passed on to the customer when they purchased the vehicle. We had been doing this for about 4 years and business was smooth.
However, in the last 2 months eagle warranty has been giving us the run around when it came to paying approved claims. Telling us the checks were sent and we never recieved them. They currently owe us over $17,000 in approved claims.
We are a smaller family ran dealership and this has really put a pinch on our cash flow during already slow times. Not sure why eagle would continue approving claims they were not going to pay for.
We have since switched to an insured quality warranty to be sold with our vehicles so that we will never have to go through this again.
