The November "Buy-Back Program" is a new low for this dealership. Targetted consumers receive a letter from Alvin Davis (General Sales Manager) announcing a "special pre-authorized buy-back terms that will give you more for your vehicle than ever before".
The letter goes on to state "Effective immediately, we will buy-back your current vehicle at 100% of the ORIGINAL FACTORY BASER MSRP* for when it was new." but there is no asterixed note to be found on the letter. The last sentence in the 3rd paragraph; however, is their out as it states "Adjustments can be made for mileage, excessive wear and tear and reconditioning costs at 10 to 55 cents per mile.".
When I called them up, the sales-slug asked me the same questions about my vehicle that I'd have to answer, and in the same order, were I looking up the Kelly Blue Book value on kbb.com.
Surprise, surprise... After the "adjustments" they offered me the exact same dollar values as the standard Kelly Blue Book Trade-In value, which I should presumably be able to obtain any time anywhere.
Not exactly the "incredible" incentive lauded in the first paragraph.
