Drivetime - Ugly Duckling, Cars Yes In March I bought SUV paying $ 440 monthly & by November Already Paying Over $ 700 in Repair with NO HELP From DriveTime and I need more repairs what a RIP OFF

In March I bought a 2005 Chevy TrailBlazer from DriveTime. I need my car for my job and was having a hard time getting financed. DriveTime told me upfront that they charge approx. $1,500 to $2,000 over Blue Book prices... Well they said "because we can, we are your last chance at financing because your credit is messed up".. So i was stuck and they knew I needed them.
I put $ 1,500 down and financed the rest at $ 220.00 every 2 weeks and will end up paying something like over $ 24,000 for this car when my contract is up. I was told how they sell only quality used cars and how they have their mechanics check all their cars out run them through tests that they have to pass before they are even put on the lot. I let them know that I am a single mother who needs her car for work and must have a reliable car to survive.
I am at my wits end with this company and the lemon I was sold. I am very diligent about having my car serviced on a regular basis & go out of my way to take good car of my transportation. After only approx. 5 or 6 months ownership of this car things started to unravel. My check engine light came on first, then my car started making funny noises, and by the time I got home my car died right in my driveway. Auto Club came out and said it was my battery causing some of the problem & I needed a new one... So I shelled out $ 126 for a battery. The car started but was still making that noise. After about 5 minutes on the road my car died again, looking under the hood my serpintine belt broke. After a tow to a local repair shop I found out that the belt broke due to a defective water pump and pully mechanism the entire repair cost me over $ 650.00... And I my check engine light was still on.
Not only my check engine light but my gas gage doesnt work and I have been informed that to repair that i am looking at about $ 750... Plus whatever my check engine light is for. OMG I am paying $ 220 every 2 weeks & had to pay almost $ 800 in repairs already... How on Earth am I ever going to come up with the cost for the rest of the needed repairs. Impossible... And throughout this whole ordeal DRIVETIME told me that if the problems would have happened about a month earlier I would have been covered. But its too late.
I am totally screwed now... I am running behind on my payments due to all the money i have shelled out in repairs and I am getting all kinds of collection calls from DRIVETIME (those people are relentless)... One time I tried to explain my situation to DriveTime collection rep and was told "what do you expect your car is old" wow I was shocked... I told her I expect to get what was promised to me (a reliable car) and what I am paying all this money for...
This whole deal has just been one big money pit with no end in sight... I am a single parent who uses her car for her job... What the hell am I to do now? Help!
