I had a tire explode on the way up to Northern VA, due to high pressure in Hampton Roads, and cooling temperatures as I went north. My car was towed from I-95 in Ashland to Brownings Auto Body in Manassas VA. The Brownings assessor who took down my info, and contacted my insurance, told me the vehicle would be done in approximately 7 days.
So I thought it would be okay. I was dead wrong.
I called on Wednesday the day before it was supposed to be finished. First of all there was a big scramble about my vehicle. They put me on hold for 10 minutes trying to find some info about my car. Finally I happened to get the manager on the phone. He said there was a problem getting the parts and wasnt sure if it was going to be ready for the next day. I came home 2 days later, which is now day 8 of my car sitting up at Brownings. Originally they had told me it would be done in 7 days. When I was there they told me they couldnt get parts and explained to me that I had a old car, and how my vehicle was ancient. It was only 6 years old.
The next week went buy and everyday I called them. They had no updates for me, and played telephone tag with me whenever I called. I felt so miserable. Finally day 14 rolls around, and they told me they didnt know when they would be able to get the parts needed. Finally the next day, day 15 of my vehicle sitting at Brownings they called me 20 minutes before they close and have the nerve to ask me if I can make it here before they close so I can get my car. Didnt even say they would stay open for me, and then close. They just demanded that I get up there ASAP and get my car.
Recommend anyone who needs body work in Northern VA, stay away from Brownings.
