Immediately after making police report, and going through the trauma of having your 500,000.00 car stolen, I called my insurance co (safeco) and made the report, and was immediately told that a "special investigator" would be calling me, due to the make of this particular car being "hard to steal." They had not recovered the car until about a month after it was stolen, so I was being accused of "stealing" my own car before they even found it. After she told me about my car being "hard to steal, " I immediately looked it up online, and found that my car (make, model and year) was #3 on the Forbes Top "most stolen luxury cars" list for that year. They're LIARS! So, they did send the "special investigator" out to my home, he was the biggest bully, & believe it or not, his name was Buddy, and he looked like a fat retired pimp/pornstar, and sounded like a character out of The Soprano's, and actually had me scared, being alone with him in my house, asking me the same ridiculous questions about my personal life, trying to find any logical explanation to connect me with the theft of my own car, which was totally paid for, a couple of years old and one that I picked out off the showroom floor, with every option available. The extent of any kind of "criminal record" that I have is a couple of speeding tickets, and no credit card debt/money problems that he was fishing & wishing for to link me to this crime... I couldn't believe this was happening to me! So, after 2 & a half-3 years, and being forced to hire attorney's, depositions, ect., they've tried to get me to settle a couple of times, but it's finally going to court in a couple of months, & they are back peddling bigtime, and I'm going to try not to take to much pleasure in them getting major monetarily defeated in court. I feel more victimized by SAFECO than whoever stole my car. Stay clear of these criminals, nothing is worth being put through the hell that SAFECO and they're totally unprofessional, low-class employee's put me through!
