I had purchased an AC Delco battery for my 2001 RAV4 Toyota in 2005.7, Car began acting up so I took it to my mechanic. The AC Delco battery had cracked and battery acid was leaking all over. He replaced it with another AC Delco 60 battery and I was charged $80.00 because I didn't have my orginal battery receipt from where I had purchased it previously in 2005.
10/20/09 - Engine light came on. I took it to my mechanic. He checked the battery and there it was, leaking AGAIN! This time there was no charge as he replaced it again with another AC Delco 60 battery.
When the cars 'Check Engine' light comes on, this can mean other than just a battery replacement. It can mean sensors or some other repair.
It is very disturbing that I may have had a mechanic charge me for other repairs prior to having the battery checked. I don't want the AC Delco battery. I would prefer getting another brand and I think AC Delco should re-imburse me so I may do this!
AC Delco batteries are the worst!!!
