I purchased a new 2000 Montero Sport in October of 1999. From day 1 I've had 3 problems (vibration at speeds above 55, shuddering when under a load, and vibration when braking).
I went through the Lemon Law process and we settle out of court that Mitsubishi would fix my vehicle. Everytime I took it for the shuddering they claimed that they couldn't duplicate the problem until finally another customer had the same problem and a Technical Service Bulletin was done.
Well it's now 3 years and at least 16 visits to the dealership since I purchased this vehicle and I'm still having vibration problems at highway speeds. Even though I have a signed settlement from Mitsubishi they still are giving me the runaround on getting my problem fixed.
I think these service people do not know what they are doing. I've even found information on the internet and taken it to them and it doesn't do any good.
