I recently purchased a 1999 Mitsubishi Galant GTZ in September from a non - mitsubishi dealer. When I purchased the veichle I noticed there was some vibration in the wheel while stopping. Since my car was still covered under the 90 day dealer warranty I took the car back and had the front rotors refsurfaced. I thought the problem was gone however in another month it came back. I then took it back to the dealer I purchased it from and I had the front rotors and brakes replaced.
This took care of the problem until January when I started having the problem again. My purchasing dealer would not have any more to do with me or my veichle and said they would absolutely not do any more. So then I had my rotors resurfaced by another non-mitsubishi dealer and the problem went away for a little while but I noticed I still had vibration in the wheel at highway speeds.
Fast forwarding to August I am still having the same problem with my veichle only now its worse. Theres a screeching sound and squealing coming from my brakes along with vibration at highway speeds and braking. I have contacted Mitsubishi about this problem and they insist that its not with the veichle itself but a wear and tear problem. I love the car but am frustrated with the problems. Please HELP.
