Piece of Crap Tires

I purchase (4) Proxes4 on 12/27/07. I was traveling I-75N towards Ga to go home. We had just spent (3) days visiting my wife's dying grandmother in Fl. On Sunday, March 8th as we headed home I had both rear tire treads peeled from the tire, exposing the cords of the tire. When the 1st treads started coming off it made the car pull which almost caused us to wreck. Because it was a Sunday there was no Toyo Dealership open. It was 4:40 & we were still in Ocala, Fl. We made it to Walmart to have both of the back tires replaced. We had no room in the car to take the 2 tires because the trunk was full with our luggage. We could not place the tires in the back seat because we had 2 dogs & 2 cages since we could not leave our pets home alone for (3) days. After my 1st 2 tire treads peeled I started checking my front tires on a daily bases to make sure that didn't happen with them. Come Sunday, July 12th we had to replace the front driver tire because the tire tread came off this one as well. Again it was a Sunday & Toyo Dealerships are closed. I needed to go to work the following day so we had to have the tire replaced at Walmart. I did not keep the tire because I had called STS where I had orginally purchased all 4 tires & he told me I needed to bring it to Pa to have them do anything about it, they told me if I was still under the 5yr/50,000mi warranty they would change it. I told him that was not possible since I now live in Ga & I can't take off work to go have them replace a tire even at that I could not have driven on that tire because it was a safety hazard yet again. Saturday, August 1st, 5:00 my wife & I were on our way to go shopping. All of a sudden we start hear a thud thud thud we looked at each other & said crap because we had heared that sound before back in March. We pulled over & sure enough the tire tread pulled off on the inside of the tire this time. When we got home we contacted Toyo & BBB.org to report the problem for the simple fact that the same problem happend to all 4 tires. Toyo called me Monday while I was still at work so I returned their call as soon as I got home. They told me I needed to take it to the local Toyo Dealership & have them inspect it & have them call back with their results, if it was still under the 5yr/50,000mi warranty they'd have them change it. We took the tire yesterday Tues. August 4th. They called Toyo & Toyo tells them to put me on the phone. The woman who I had spoke with the day before says she remembers me but told me she said nothing about there being a 50,000mi/5yr warranty on the tire so they would not being doing anything about it.

Toyo Tire customer service is rude. While on the phone with them on Monday I heard 1 customer service rep yelling at another customer on the phone about not replacing his tire either. They had accused me of changing tire size & saying that's why the tire tread had peeled. I informed them that the tire size was the orginal size for my car. On Tuesday the customer service rep started to yell at me telling me they wouldn't be exchanging the tire because there was no warranty on the tire. I told her that they can deal with the BBB.org then.

While waiting for the tire to be inspected we located my tire in store & sure enough there was no warranty listed for the tire. As we were waiting we noticed that Toyo had 3 tires with no warranty on them. The thing of it is was my wife was at the local Toyo Dealership for 3 hrs on July 14th while they changed her front breaks. She had looked at every tire & had spotted my tire there was a warranty on that tire.in fact there was a warranty on ALL the tires in the shop.
