I was away from home and my Mercury Marquis started to miss and sputter. Seeing that I was close to Koch Ford by my sons place were we were staying for the week end, I took it to this dealer who should have all the nessary (so they say) Equipment to test it and fix it, I took the car after being fixed and it seemed to run a bit better. However, I never really drove it much until I was ready to come home 250 miles away. On the way out of the city it was miss as usual, (had to get home that day) so I took a chance and drove it home. On ariving home I took it to where I always get my cars fixed -an ex Ford repair service where it only cost me $35.00. Not 77.50 It has run perfect ever since. It needed a plug wire and a senser replaced.
I wrote to the company in Edmonton and they did not reply, on the invioce they gave it said, they tighten a loose wire, — no parts... Big deal $ 77.50 to tighten a loose wire that didn't fix it, It made me mad, but I am sure that they would of found some lame excuse and sent me down the road anyway so I never wasted my time trying to persue it any farther. I wrote them in 10/12/00.
