I brought my truck here to get the rear transfer case seal replaced (small leak); Easy fix right, should be 15 dollar seal 75 dollar labor; well then they proceeded to tell me they hoked my truck up to there computer and i wasnt always going into forth gear overdrive and my torque converter was shot, and i needed a whole new transmission; I was boggled i drive the truck everyday and to Colorado and back once a week (i was working out there) on the highway 80 miles an hour, I have a transmission temp gauge (diesel, i have all the gauges) and never got above 170 f.
I told them this "Rolf" the owner and he said maybe you have a bad gauge, well maybe i thought; so i had them drop the pan to see if i had any metal shavings or burnt fluid, and found nothing out of the ordinary, fresh oil and no shavings; well he still wanted me to drop the transmission for further inspection, 7 hour 85 dollars an hour job just to remove it; not to mention putting it back together but since it is already dropped put in all brand new stuff cause its not any more in labor; he said "Rolf" that if not this transmission has a month to live.
I cant afford the 5900 dollar transmission he quoted me so ill just drive it nice i thought. So i paid him 480 dollars for what was supposed to be just the transfer case seal, but then them dropping my pan and refilling it. Not to mention Nathan Hodges starting it up, dropping it straight into gear the same second and flooring it out of the back of the shop, where my girlfriend happened to be waiting for me, skwealling the tires and makeing one of the biggest black clouds of exhaust she said she has ever seen my truck do; Now this truck is my life how i get to work and i try to take good care of it, but for Nathen to do this to my truck on a cold day when it takes a little bit for oil to start circulating in a diecel is complete disrecpect to my property.
So the story goes i asked my local mech. About not always going into fourth gear overdrive and he put it on his computer and found my throttle positoning senser was starting to go (its what tells the transmission what gear to be in) so i replaced it 170 dollars (works perfect now) and told him the story of transmission city; he said even after you were to put in a whole new transmission i would still have my same problem tell i replaced my tps.
It gets even better my transfer case steal leaks fluid the same way it always had and when i checked my transmission fluid I was three qurts low, wow are you kidding me? You nevr fixed my leak, you never filled my transmission all the way up, you said i need a new transmission for 5900 dollars ended up being 170 dollar tps. And you hotroded my truck when it was cold righin front of me, makes me wonder how the drove it for the test drive after they supposedvly fixed my seal. I belive Rolf and Nathan are crooks and liers and would advise everyone not to deal with these people, I thought this site would be full of complaints about this company.
