February of this year I bought a used pickup from a local dealer. It was in decent shape and I paid around 6k. One of the selling points was that the vehicle was to come with a warranty. Also part of the selling point was that the dealer was to have the front end aligned. The work was done and I was told it required ball joints as well.
Two weeks later a rear brake line blew when our mechanic was on a test run for an engine miss. The line was replaced and a coil was replaced. The bill was over $500.00. Protection Plus agreed, after telling me I had a $100 deductable and the brake line work was not covered, a whopping $15.00.
Two months later, the truck was in an accident and totaled. I called the company after purchasing another used truck, and was told that they would not transfer the coverage for the remainder of the original term (1 year) because when the front end work was done the dealer (who had used his own mechanics) had received money from Protection Plus. When I told the company rep that I was disappointed and would probably not be using the company again, she couldn't have cared less.
This company is a dissapointment. Look for another or save your money.
