We took or car to be repaired at this service station. They put it up on a rack and told us it was the rear seal. Bob, the manager told us that with parts and labor, it would cost $204.00. We then let them do this work.
We picked up our car and they chargrd us $74 or $78.00. We said that couldn't be right. They put a tune up on it that it did not need. We had already had this done about a week and a half prior. We paid them anyway.
We then trusted them again. We left our car once more. We then gave them $204.00 to fix the rear seal which we bought the parts ourselves, and they charged us the same as they quoted without the parts. We picked our car up only to find out that that wasn't the problem. We then asked them to make it right, at first they said they would I asked them once more to make it right or I would have to file a complaint and a civil suit against them. Bob, the manager told me "Do whatever you need to do!"This Friday I will be filing a cilvil suit against them as well as puttin an add in the newspaper for anyone in the past they have wronged to call me.
I have spoken to four other people already that they have messed
their cars up and over charged and still their cars weren't fixed right.
If you have any ideas what I can do legally to solve this problem, I would be truly grateful. I am on a fixed income and receive social security. This bad judgement of error I made to let them fix my car has already cost me close to $5oo. 00
just for the 2-3 quarts of oil I have had to buy because they
didn't fix my car properly. As of this coming Friday I will pay the $49.00 to file this claim and an extra $16.00 for the Madison County Police Dept. To serve them.
