I found the car I was looking for online at Schumacher West Palm. I had arranged financing ahead of time with my credit union. THREE times while I was at the dealership the "bussiness manager", Connie asked if she could run my credit report and THREE times I told her no that I was not going to finance with the dealer. At least one time the salesman, Joe C. Was in the room with us. Two days later, as agreed upon, I returned to the dealership with a check from the credit union to complete the sale. The next day after recieving an alert from the credit monitoring service that I subscribe to I found out that the dealer had run my credit report even though I had not authorized it. When I confronted the salesman he denied that they ran the report but when confronted with the facts he proceded to tell me that he didn't know that I told them NOT to run the credit report. It was unmistakable clear to everyone that I was not financing with the dealer. You should think long and hard about doing business with someone who will do as they please with your personal infomation. With all the ID fraud going on I would think that others should be warned of this business. I guess this is why car dealers have the reputations that they have. Thank you for reading this.
