I needed an oil change for my car, so I went to a Firestone on Coit Rd, near Legacy Dr. It was a very bright sunny day. I looked through a glass window to the garage. I noticed several cars had the lights turned on (in the bright garage). Waited for a while, a salesperson showed me a small test strip showing the battery is drained/low... And that I need to have a new battery. I responsed: "C'mon, I just replaced that battery 3 months ago at Sears". He showed me that test strip again and said: "The test showed your battery is drained... This is the actual test result from your battery". I drove my car immediately to Sears (where I had the battery replaced before). Sears technician tested the battery and told me the battery is in good working condition, nothing wrong with it. I realized that Firestone had turned on the lights (with engine off) to drain the battery; Then test the battery to show you your battery is in critical condition... Expecting you to buy a new battery from them when you don't really need to. A sales lady from Firestone Headquarter/Sales Center called to tell me about a promotion. I told her the story, and I said I will report a complaint to the BBB. I was too busy to do that. But I'd never return to that Firestone again.
