Country Line Motors Making Promises but NNEVER Keep Them!

Let me start by saying that I am an avid listener of WYCB, 104.1 and the Radio One Family. As a man of God, I appreciate the Christian content and the respect that you all show me, as a listener.in an effort to keep cash flow within the Kingdom of God, I think it's important for Believers to support the businesses of other Believers.

So one day when driving home from work, I was listening to the Matt Anderson show and heard the radio announcement for County Line Motors and Shanice Craft. Being in the market for a new vehicle for some time now, I went home and spoke to my wife and decided that now was the right time to purchase another vehicle. A few weeks had gone by and I was speaking with a friend of mine, Mr. Cliff Jones, and he also mentioned the commercial on Radio One. Mr. Jones said that he was in the process of purchasing a vehicle for himself and his wife. He was pleased with the service he received and of course we knew that County Line and Ms Craft were honorable considering they had the reputation of Radio One backing them.

In December of '08, Mr Jones took me out to County Line Motors and I spoke with Ms Craft for myself. On my first visit, I was impressed by the fleet of vehicles that County Line had to offer but I wasn't ready to buy just yet. Ms Craft was true to her craft as a saleswoman and was very persistent in trying to sell me a vehicle. Considering the holidays were around the corner, I waited until after the New Year to return to County Line.

January 15th, still undecided as to what vehicle I wanted to purchase, again Mr Jones and I returned to County Line Motors and spoke with Ms Craft. Knowing that a vehicle purchase is a major buy, I was hesitant and approached the situation with caution. Again, knowing that Ms Craft had the support of Radio One and considering the experience that Mr. Jones had had, any feelings of unease were quickly removed once I saw the Black 2005 Range Rover sitting on the front line. It was just the vehicle I was looking for and was equipped with all the options I wanted in a luxury vehicle, so I thought. Ms Craft motioned for a sales representative, Omar, to get the key and he took me on a test drive.

While on the test drive, I was very pleased with the handling and stability of the vehicle. It drove with such precision. Omar and I returned to the dealership and I looked at the options listed on the window sticker. Omar explained that the vehicle that I was in the process of purchasing was the Westminster Edition and that it was fully loaded with every option. It's the granddaddy of the Range Rover line. I was sold.

Omar took the vehicle to have it cleaned and I was handed back off to Ms Craft for negotiations. Ms Craft exclaimed that this was a once in a lifetime opportunity and assured me that I had to work expeditiously if I wanted to take advantage of such a great deal. She said that the Westminster Edition Range Rover normally sold for $45K to $50K but considering she valued my business and the fact that I mentioned the ad on Radio One, she would sell me the vehicle for no more than 30K. I couldn't believe it. Ms Craft was prepared to discount a $50K vehicle by almost $20K, I thought surely that the Lord was working the deal on my behalf. Ms Craft worked the numbers and within two hours I was on my way, driving off the car lot with Mr. Jones.

I brought the car home and took my wife riding in the vehicle. She admired the vehicle and I assured her that God really worked through Ms Craft and that we were blessed to get such a great deal. Little did I know that my problems were just beginning and that Ms Craft wasn't the person she represented herself to be.

Two weeks after the purchase of the vehicle, I noticed a squeaking sound when applying the brakes. I immediately called Ms Craft to alert her of my concern. She responded, That's what Range Rover's do. Now I don't profess to be a mechanic but I knew that the brakes didn't squeak when I purchased the vehicle. I dismissed her comment and asked her if the vehicle was thoroughly inspected. She insisted that the vehicle was inspected and told me not to worry. It was at that time that I inquired about the replacement key that Ms Craft promised at the time of vehicle purchase. The key that I was given was defective. I literally have to stick my thumb inside the remote to unlock and lock the doors of my vehicle. Ms Craft promised that she would take care of getting me a key but she couldn't guarantee an estimated time of arrival. It was the same false promises with the navigation disk. I was promised at the time of purchase that I would have a disc for the navigation system within a timely matter. I didn't want to bagger her. I knew our conversation wasn't going anywhere and I felt that I had given her every opportunity to rectify each and every issue with this vehicle considering she was not only my sales representative but also the general manager. It's been more than 2 months and Ms Craft final remedy was for me to visit a Range Rover dealership and handle these issues myself.

Now, I am a man of my word and was under the impression that Ms Craft was a woman of hers. I constantly called and was given the runaround. Ms Craft made false promise after false promise with no consideration for the truth. I was not valued as a customer or consumer and would have appreciated if Ms Craft would have been honest and forthcoming concerning the vehicle's issues and her willingness to correct them. I didn't buy my vehicle from a Range Rover dealership and didn't appreciate Ms Craft directing me to Range Rover dealership to correct malfunctions that should have been corrected before the point of sale. Being that I am not by trade a mechanic, I trusted County Line, Ms Craft and the reputation that it stands on being backed by Radio One. I was not prepared for such blatted dishonesty, deceitfulness, deceptiveness and fraudulence displayed by County Line and Ms Craft. I will in no way recommend County Line to anyone serious about purchasing a vehicle from a reputable dealership.
