Contact: Tom Gotor - Collection Manager
Business Start Date: 3/1

This company has been calling my home and cell phone numbers. The name/number on my caller id is IMPT 502 However, when I tried to call them back to have my name removed the number is not in service. I contacted the operator and was told they are getting a lot of complaints about callers masking their real phone number, but there is nothing they can do.instead of calling my phone company, I decided to play along with the next call from them by pressing option 1. When I told the rep to remove my name, he hung up. So when the called again I played along, telling the rep that I had a 1992 Nissan Sentra with 192K miles. She put me over to activation. I was asked if any engine lights were coming on and I replied no, but a mechanic friend told me the transmission was slipping. The activation dept told me they could not cover the car until I had the transmission fixed and to give them a call back then.
So now I had what I wanted, a phone number, which after googling I found the name. I contacted the BBB for Orange County and filed a complaint with
Tina (file# 98398549)
Tina informed me that I will hear back from them regarding my complaint in about 20 business days. However, the BBB is not a regulatory agency and can not pull licenses or shut anyone down. That is done by Government agencies i.E., FTC, Attorney General, or Consumer Affairs Office.
My suggestion is this:
1. send a 100 page fax telling them to remove your phone number.
2. everyone with a complaint should call their real phone numbers between 9am and 11am pacific time to shut down their telephone system.
3. Get a whistle, and when the call Blow it into the phone.
