I just received a mechanized call (caller "unavailable") which prompted me to hit "1" to speak to a representative. The representative told me he was not soliciting business, but rather, was calling about the warranty that had expired on my vehicle. I asked him which vehicle and of course, he could not say. I have 2 cars 20 and 23 years old.
I asked him why his company violates the TCPA (Telecommunications Consumer Privacy Act) by calling the public with a machine. I asked him why Warranty Activation Center calls telephone numbers on the FCC Do Not Call Registry. He again repeated that the call was not a solicitation (they just wanted me to buy a warranty, from someone who blocks their telephone number!)
I'm filing a report with the FCC, if you can do so without a telephone numbe
