Listed on credit report as owing about $500

My credit report shows that my ex from 20 years ago and I owe this creditor (Citi/Shell) over $500 as if we are jointly responsible for owing it. I haven't seen or spoke to my ex for about 20 years. This wasn't on my report 3 years ago.
