I live in california and i have the same exact situation with them coming up with this exuberant balloon payment due to payment extensions. If i multiply the number of extensions by my payment amount it's not even half of this final payment. And like you, i never received one disclosure statement of how the payment extension was being applied or that it would result in a balloon payment that doesn't' add up. A class action suit seems in order and if anyone files one, please post it so that the rest of us can join. Plus when i go online, i can't even access my account to see how payments have been applied.
