I have a 2003 Honda Accord Coupe V6 that I bought used 6 months ago. Last week while driving to work with no warning my transmission starts down shifting iratically and throws me into the steering wheel. I have read several hundred other reviews of the same problem. I called American Honda to get qualified for a good will replacement as the other owners had gotten and because I am not the original owner of the car they said that they cannot help me at all. FYI this transmission was recalled in 2004 the previous owner did take it in for the recall and had all repairs done. Also I have ALL maintanance records for the vehicle since it was purchased all maintanance was done on time per Honda's schedule, still I'm stuck with a $3000 bill for a transmission. Honda has really gone down hill, I strongly discourage anyone from purchasing a car from them not only is the product shotty but Honda does not stand behind it at all. They did give me an admission that the transmission is faulty by offering me 10% off the bill, I declined as I will gladly pay the 10% extra elsewhere rather than pay Honda another dime.
