My father purchased a motorcraft battery from a Ford dealership. The battery states 0-36 months free replacement. I took his battery in to see what was wrong with it. 1st they asked for receipt, which he did not have. 2nd they found his information in their computer (name, number, date of installation and address). 3rd they had to charge the battery to see if it would hold the charge. So we left the battery with them. A few hours later they call and tell my dad that the battery needed replaced. So he goes back to the dealership and picks up a replacement. THEY CHARGE HIM $110.00 because he had no reciept, yet they had the information in their computer that proved the battery was less than 3ys old. Can anyone help me with this. I have spoke with the service manager and he states that it is motorcrafts policy not the dealerships. Sounds like BS to me.
