My wife and I had no credit and we financed a car at Ernie Miller Pontiac in Tulsa Oklahoma through Arcadia financial. As part of the contract we were to receive ~ $250 towards our tag. We never did, and arcadia did nothing about it. Then about 10 months into the loan we were moving so I paid by money order because we switched banks.
They never credited the payment, for 8 months they showed me as past due when I wasn't and I have provided them with a copy of the postal money order stub at least 5 times, at their request. I still never got credit for it. They finally pushed the "PAYMENT IN QUESTION" to the end of the note pending me providing proof I paid, which I already had. The used car commisioner said I could back out and give the car back but I kept it anyway.
Finally the car which was only 4 1/2 years old just killed over one day even thoug I had maintained it perfectly so I told them I was giving back because they had never given me my tag money, and I never received credit for my payment. I then notified them to pick the car up and as of yet they still have not. Oh yeah and they put 8 late payments on my credit. None of which were actually late.
In over 3 years only one payment was a few days late, and I don't think they ever put that one on my credit. Go figure.
