I had purchased a vehicle in 8/06 and it was a thing where I want it and want it now. I trusted my moms co-workers to make me a deal etc. They worked up some stuff I put 5 grand down on this vehicle and the finance guy was like ok here is your paper work and payments etc. I was just happy because I got my vehicle so I did not pay attention to who was the finance company. He just told me they would mail payment books etc.
I made at least the first 9 mo on time with a 10 day grace period then times got slow at work and it became 15-20 days late but I always paid it. There was a time it was 28 days late I was speaking with them on getting it paid and when it would be paid. Well I woke up the next morning (day 29) and went to take my kids to school and my truck was gone! I was TICKED to nicely say.
I called asap and had to leave messages no on would call me back I finally got a hold of someone and got the western union info paid and picked it up in Mississippi. Great sounds like the end right WRONG! Again same situation it was not even 30 days behind I was working with someone to ensure this doesn't happen AGAIN! I was sending like half of my payment (full was 394.00) and this was arranged by them we agreed upon it but here they come AGAIN and take my truck well this time I didnt have the full 2 months PLUS all their fees they wanted to charge PLUS they were saying I still owed the fees from the last time it was repoed I was telling them that there would be no way they would have come back to me if all fees were NOT paid and they needed to get it figured out and that I had proof etc.
ANyway not even a week later understand I spoke with the company who had my vehicle and they said it would be shipped off on this day here so I KNEW when it had to be paid by and I was talking with Crescent at the same time about all this they picked it up early and it went to Mississippi AGAIN but this time they sold it WHILE they had my money for me to get it back! PLUS all my belongings that was in there.
I contacted BBB and as soon as they heard of an investigation by them they quickly gave me my money back that I had paid but refused anything else. But they did report to the credit bureau that my account was paid as agreed and not repoed. I wanted my down payment or at least half PLUS money for replacing my belongings! Crescent bank said well we don't have control of where your belongings are and you take it up with the company who picked up your vehicle I spoke with them and they still had it at the time and I made arrangement with Crescent for them to pay they storage fees directly to the company. That DIDN'T happen and I lost my stuff!
They NEVER kept good record of my payments when they were made or remembered making any arrangements with me. I agree with that other person who said use western union or money gram then what can they say? Also try quickly to get AWAY from them they will rip you off as much as they can.
I also NEVER received ANY statements from them and had a hard time getting my pay off info. Get out if you can!!!
