Steve's Auto Body and Repair is from what I can tell an auto body guy looking to make some extra money on the side, doing what he does at a shop for people at home. His card says he can fix anything on the spot and the costs are way under body shop costs because it is an all portable business.
This guy is not professional.
Firstly he brings his wife with him to the job, she seems to sort of help but not really.
Secondly he claims he can do things that he simply can't do. For instance he will say he can fix something and make it look like it should, but his way of doing that is just to slap mountains of bond-o on everything and hope it doesn't pop back out of place.
Thirdly he wants cash up front after doing the "body work" then claims he will come back to paint it.in my experience this part is a big maybe.
Do not pay a dime till the job is done.
Watch him carefully, I saw him using shovels, rakes and other implements of destruction to hold body parts in place while bond-o set-up and bond-o is not good for high tension spots.
He also nearly broke my headlamp, and left chips in my undamaged areas.
This guy is a fast talking, guy with HUGE PROMISES and REALLY LITTLE results. This "steve" is not about good business or good customer service. He didn't even fix everything he estimated for.
In a good business you under promise and over deliver, "steve" doesn't seem to understand good business.
I WOULD AVOID STEVE'S Auto Body & Dent Repair at all costs. He really wants to charge as much as a real shop, and his first estimates are usually above shop prices, his work is sub par, he is unprofessional, and he may never complete the job.
