Mr. Transmission
Owner Kevin, Secretary Mark $1200 repair turns into $2000 with Lots of problems, owner loves to yell at his customers!

Okay here it is. My transmission went out on me so I took it to Mr. Transmission and the owner Keving stated that he would rebuild it for $1200 if I would refer his business to others... So of course I said that's a heck of a deal. Who would pass that up? So, my car is supposedly repaired after a week and I go pick it up on a Friday afternoon and half way home it starts to flare and skip gears again.

So, I called to Mr. Transmission and Mark says to bring it back up there right then and there to have it looked at. I told him I was not able to do that because I had to pick up my son from day care and I could stop by there the following day whick was Saturday. He did not like that too much but agreed to accept.

After I got home we opened the hood and there was fluid all over the top side and bottom of the transmission. I called back up to Mark to let him know that as well and of course he was nasty about that as well. I take my car up to them on Saturday on they said that the axle needed to be replaced and the grease was axle grease coming from the boot. I told them that I could get parts a lot cheaper than they could and I could have it repaired for a lot less than they could and thats what I would do. Kevin said he would VOID my warranty if i took it somewhere else. I agreed to but the part and take to them on Monday tho have them replace.

Before I went there I had my guys put it on a lift here at work and to show me what they though was wrong. Come to find out the boot had been cut either purposly or accidently. David a very nice man came up here from mr. Transmission to look at it with me and agreed to fix it for free due to it not being my fault. It then takes them 3 weeks to get the axle in and I went in once more for them to tell me that they would replace the axle and the reason it was skipping gears was due to something wrong with the transmission that was not repaired properly.

They had to order a part for that as well. I finally take my car there yesterday 01/02/09 and drop it at 7:30 am to have the axle replaced and for them to test drive and find the problem with the tranny. I receive no call all day so I called and spoke with Kevin at 1:15 and he stated that they were in the process of doing the axle then he would test drive and call me. I tolf him to make sure and call me before 4 so that I could make arrangements to pick the car up and he said okay.

Come 4:15 I have heard nothing so I called and Kevin had left for the day and Mark said my car could not be picked up. I was furious that no one called me and I was now stuck with no means of transportation. I finally got a ride at last minut and made a drive up there to retrieve some belongings out of my vehicle and when I got there the only thing they had done was put my car on the lift. The new axle was STILL in the box unopened on the ground in front of my car with the old axle STILL on my car. WHAT DID THEY DO ALL DAY?

I then receive a call from Kevin after lunch today 01/06/09 to tell me that the axle was repaired and good to go but the reason my tranny was flaring up and skipping gears was due to an elcetrical problem. Okay I can dig that but he refused to tell me waht the codes were that he pulled off of my cars computer that made him think that in the first place because he didn'y want me to get a second opinion.

Now he wants to charge me another $500-800 to fix the electrical problem. He said that they have to take the tranny back out and open it up to see what electrical coponent is going bad. FIRST OF ALL THERE IS NO electrical parts inside the tranny. All electrical parts that are electrical are on the outside of the tranny. I already knew what code was being pulled it was for a tcc solenoid that had been previously replaced and must have gone bad.

It was a $30 part and they are wanting me to pay $500-800 to have it fixed. The owner refused to tell me what the codes are because he is trying to make money off of me and its not going to happen. I am on my way up the now so we will see what happens. I will be contacting the BBB as well as Channel to action news to report them.
