I am worried of this kind of scam

December 21 my Dodge Caravan broke down at a red light in
result of a broken CV axle on the driver's side less than 1/4 mile from AAMCO.
I went over to AAMCO to ask if they could repair the damage. They told me yes and gave me a number to a towing company, PBH Enterprise to whom they do much business with. I called the towing company for their services. They towed my car over to AAMCO within minutes. AAMCO then told me that they would not be able to get to my minivan for inspection or repair until after the Christmas holiday. I agreed to leave my minivan there.

On December 26, they called and told me that the Driver CV axle was broken and they could repair it for $249.95 including parts and labor. Later that day AAMCO called me and stated they repaired the CV axle and was going to take it for a test drive. About 30 minutes later AAMCO called again stating that something was wrong with my transmission and the minivan would drive backwards but not forwards. I told them that there was no way something was wrong with my transmission.

I went to AAMCO so they could explain to me what was going on. The mechanic started the vehicle and put it in reverse, there was a loud popping noise, similar to the noise I heard when the axle first broke. I heard it, the mechanic heard it, and because I was on the phone with my wife during the time, she heard it as well. I could see and hear the axle turning but seems as if it was not connected properly in some type of way. I told them my thoughts on the situation which was it sounded like the axle broke again and they did not install it properly. They told me I could either leave the minivan for diagnostic of the transmission or I had to remove the vehicle from their
premises.

I called the same tow company I used before to tow the minivan to my home. The next day, I received a second opinion from a certified
Chrysler technician. He inspected the minivan and told me that it seems as if
the CV axle was installed improperly. On December 30 my wife called AAMCO back, telling them what I was told, theyl assured us that it was not the axle and it was the transmission; however, told my wife that
whatever she wanted to do was fine with him. She told him that she wanted our money back, he said fine. She then told him that we would be there to get it. We arrived around 1:30pm that day and they were gone, closed the business for the day. After new years, he changed his story and wanted me to tow the minivan back to them again. I told him that I did not feel comfortable nor confident that they could get the job done being that they had every opportunity to do so before. I went back and forth with AAMCO, wanting them to do the job right, but things were getting out
of control with their customer service and etiquette where I knew I could not
trust them again. I asked for my money back. They refused on three attempts. There was no resolution to this problem with AAMCO. And now I am here, still trying to resolve this matter.
