Ganley Imports In Parma
Ganley Imports humiliating and time consuming abused & mistreated

I am a new resident in the USA. Like other immigrants might know how tough their life is at first, I experienced tough life when I tried to buy a new car.

I somewhat hurried to buy a new car because, as I am a nurse, my evening shift was coming and there wasn't any transportation for me after work.

Also the reason I wanted to buy a new car was since I didn't know much about a car and there wasn't anyone to help me with managing a car, I was so afraid to buy a used car. I was taking a bus to commute at that time.
By the way, when I first visited a dealer shop in Parma (Ganley imports: 7115 Brookpark Road Parma OH 44129-1293), a sales person was so nice and kind.

He explained if I had had enough credit the APR would have lowered then 7 % but if I hadn't, it would have been higher than 7%. I did a test driving and came back. I tried to find out whether I could get a low interest rate loan. I went to credit union.

However, my length of stay was only 3 months and credit union refused to give me about 4% interest rate loan. I realized it was hard to get a loan to buy a car and the dealer shop interest rate might not bad. I visited the dealer shop and told the sales person I want to know how much exact interest rate would be.

Then the sales person explained I had to have an insurance first then because I really needed a car for work the interest rate could be negotiable. It was late afternoon so I barely find out one insurance company and had car insurance. Then he took me to the finance manager.

That was the moment the trouble started.
The finance manager was sitting in front of me and said "Do you want a new car?" His sound was insincere and a joke but I didn't care.

I thought I just had to buy a car. Then the finance manager suggested that I would get an 11% interest and more. I was somewhat shock to hear that much high interest rate. I decided to buy a car if I could buy with at least 9% interest rate.

According to his saying, 11% was not guaranteed, either. I asked the finance manager if he could find out the exact interest rate then I would come back and decide it.

He mentioned he couldn't work for me if I didn't deposit some money, because he didn't want to waste his time and labor.in addition to that, he also said, "You are the person who needs to buy a car and I am not.

I am just interested in money you bring to us."; "I am here to help you to buy a car. You can't buy a car in anywhere in the United States with your credit.", "Want to buy a car, show your money and that's all.", "Zero percent interest rate? That's cartoon in the dealer shop! Here is the real world" "What is the big difference between 11% and 9%? It is just difference of a price of candy bar.

If you can't afford to buy an extra candy bar, you shouldn't buy a car. Do you understand?" I was really embarrassed. I went out from the finance manager's office and talked to the sales person. "I want to buy a car from you but I have to think whether I can pay that much high interest rate. I will give a call."

Then the sales person asked me whether I felt bad because of the finance manager and I said "yes." The sales person asked me to wait a little bit and he brought his boss. The boss asked me what was the problem and I explained what happened and why I couldn't buy a car that day.

The boss apologized to me instead of the finance manager and if the high interest rate was the obstacle to buy a new car then he said he was going to find out the way and help me. He asked me to sit and dialed a phone number in front of me.

He talked to someone in front of me dealing with the interest rate. After the phone, he said my interest rate was 9.75% for sure and that I could take the car that day. I appreciate the boss a lot and was happy to make a contract.

I went back to the finance manager and started listening his explanation. It was really hard to understand. I asked a lot of questions to him. He asked me with evident sarcasm "Didn't you study finance in school?" I was at a loss but I had to be nice to him to buy a car.

My car window price was 18.000 roughly but the basic vehicle price in the contract was 20,000. I asked why but he explained that was including my interest rate. The sales person also added that was 1000 dollars below the invoice price. But that was wrong information. They lied to me. I paid 7100 dollars for the deposit. I drove my car at that day.

A couple of day later, I received a phone call from the dealer shop, I had to come back and submitted another work contract. I handed in my work contract and that contact didn't show I had to work 2 years. That was the problem. I am a permanent worker.

There isn't a year limit. But they said I have to bring another contract which shows I have to work for more than 2 years. I went to the human resource and find out there wasn't any more paper.

I gave them a call and explained that was the all paper I could turn in then the sales person asked me to come the shop and sign up more papers to get a bank loan.
The day I visited them again, they told me all of a sudden I couldn't take a car right then.

They took my car key and said that they couldn't find a loan for me; they had the responsibility for the car. I asked them to do something. I found out there was a way to prove my credit through Korean Market in Hyundai motor credit. I asked him to do it but the finance manager said he did that before but the process was too complicated and he still didn't receive the money.

He didn't want to do that. They also said, they would return my money after 10 business days to make sure my check was cleared. It wasn't an expected situation so I didn't bring my money.

I was trying to borrow some money from the sales person then he decided to take me home. When I came back, they gave me a call, he pointed out since I realized there was no way to buy a new car with 9% interest loan, he asked me to buy a car with a high interest rate and then I could refinance after one year. I certainly refused their offer.

I had to work also evenings pretty soon that day so I want to have that money back as soon as possible. I went to my bank and asked why a dealer shop needed 10 business days to clear my check even though they already withdrew my money 1 week ago.

The teller said if they gave her a call, the teller could make sure my check had been cleared. I called the finance manager and the manager repeated the same thing, they needed 10 business days to clear the check and that was none of his business.

So I asked him to whom I had to speak to then he hung up the phone on me. I dialed once again and talked to the desk manager. The desk manager also said to me, they needed a 10 business days to clear the check and that's their policy. I told him they already withdrew my money and there was nothing to clear and asked him to make a phone call to the bank. Then he also hung up the phone also.

I felt so bad and tried to find out what I should do. I contacted BBB (better business bureau). The person at the BBB contacted them and found out if I brought a bank statement which showed my check had been cleared then they would give my money back. I did that and I havd my money back that day. And two days later, I went to a different dealer shop and proved my credit though Korean market by the Hyundai motor credit and I bought a new car.

I wrote a letter to BBB that I wanted to receive a letter of apology from the Ganley Imports in Parma because of humiliation, time consuming and immoral trading. Otherwise I want 3000 dollar in compensation for mental injury. Then they wrote a letter to me. It was two crooked lines. It wasn't neat.

I saw their insincere also from their letter. I asked three signatures. One was sales dealer and the others were the desk manger and finance manager. There were three signatures but there wasn't finance's.

I only had finance's signature because of my car contract which the finance singed on. To my disappointment, there wasn't his.

It was okay to forget that kind of bad experience but I feel like if I ignore this matter with them, it might happen to make the second and third damage to anybody buying a car there.
