On Sunday, January 1st I purchased a used 2007 Hyundai Veracruz from Orlando Hyundai. The overall experience was OK but it could have been better.
The sales person was nice and helpful. He also gave me a good deal on the car without a lot of trouble. I did find out afterward the sale that the car had been in an accident. Apparently it was very minor but still researching to confirm. It would have been nice to know up front.
The trouble came with the finance person. At the dealership, he was fine although I asked several specific questions and his responses were incorrect.in one instance, his information was completely wrong. The real problem came the next day when he called and stated that they could not provide the interest rate quoted and signed for. He then became very pushy. It was very unpleasant. I called and complained. Another person called me back and we were able to complete the sale after dealing with another sales person and one of the finance managers.
I subsequently obtained financing through a credit union at a lower interest rate and a cheaper repair plan.
In summary, the dealer was OK but I would warn anyone dealing with them to be very careful. Don't count on the rate you are quoted. Check other places for repair plans. It is probably cheaper and more flexible.
