I purchased a remanufactured transmission from this company in December. The transmission failed shortly after the break-in period and the company refused to repair under the warranty accusing me of causing the failure.
I paid additional monies to have the transmission repaired again. Shortly after this second go around, the transmission failed again.
Rob, the owner, then sited the use of an after market torque converter as the cause of the failure. I agreed to use their stock replace converter, which then failed less than 500 miles later. I returned the converter to Rob and was told I would receive a replacement shorty, 45 days passed and I received nothing. I then contacted Transplant and received no cooperation at all from the company.
I purchased a brand new converter from a highly reputable manufacture (Hughes Performance) which worked quite nicely for about 1500 miles until their transmission failed once again.
At this time I decided to part ways with Transplant and rebuild the unit myself, which has not had to come out of the car since, nearly 2 1/2 years!
To this day I have not received a refund or a replacement converter.
Please do not allow yourself to be taken by these con artists. At the time I had my issues with the company, their were over 60 open BBB complaints!
They do not stand behind their product as they do not have the knowledge or integrity to do so.
