INGRAM PARK AUTO CENTER Ripoff, bad finance practices, dishonest sales representatives and management

On December 6, I received a call from Mr. Rollin Collins. He advised that I had been approved for financing and to come out and pick out my vehicle. I was excited to finally be able to pick out a vehicle. I really don't like dealing with car dealerships because of the bad reputation that they possess so, I advised Mr. Collins of the amount of money that I would be able to put down and if this is not going to work then I will have to wait on getting a vehicle from them.

Upon my and my husbands arrival I was shown several different vehicles and we picked out a 2005 Dodge Durango. I asked for the carfax report and each time I asked the subject was changed none the less while in the office I was approached twice by the sales manager requesting additional money down. I explained that this is all I could put down but after a while agreed to put down an additional $500.00.

We left with the car without the carfax report only to find out that the car had several electrical problems, we then returned the vehicle back to IPAC and searched for another vehicle in its place. We picked the vehicle, the sales manager came to us and advised that they could work the deal with this vehicle and the $1500.00 down that I initially put down. I asked, is that all we need, and he agreed that this was it and we signed our contract and left.

On December 19th I got a call from Mr. Chris Ortiz requesting that we come back into the office, they had to change the contract. When we got to the store the manager came out and said that we are going to need to come up with an additional $500.00 or return the vehicle because the finance company increase the fees for them. I told them I had nothing to do with what the finance company has done to them, I made an agreement with them and we agreed upon a certain amount and I held up my agreement and they should hold up there.

His response to me was that we would have to pick out another vehicle and return the one. There tactics and methods are completely wrong. They get people there and then assure them that everything is ok and then after a couple of days contracts are changed, additional funding is requested and so forth. I am trying to get more information on this type of business practice. Is it legal? Does the customer have any grounds? This company teaches its sales people how to lie and what to say and what not say to customers.

Everything thing about this company is lies and deceit and I regret the day that I allowed them to pull my credit report and offer me one thing and then change up. I plan on contacting our JAG official to see what my legal grounds are.in the mean time take heed when anyone tells you not to deal with this company. They will lie and cheat and do whatever they have to get your money.
