I recently purchased a 2005 mini cooper s from southwest discount car co. Using ebay. When i received this car, there was far more damage to it than was given in the info. Granted, it was a salvage title and i did expect some wear and tear. The hatchback did not line up and rattles when you drive down the road. The "minor" crack in the bumper that was virtually "unnoticeable" was big enough to put my finger in. These were dissappointments for sure, and i could live with them.
What i could not live with was the fact that the car had NO AIRBAGS!!! The ad on ebay said it had front passenger and driver side airbags. What's worse is the fact that someone tried to cover up the passenger dash (where the airbag is supposed to be) with some sort of rubberized material that doesn't match the rest of the dashboard.
I called the company and discussed my disgust with the misleading ad, but it was pointless. I spoke to a guy named Chase, and he didn't own up to any of the description in the ad. He said they were not responsible for the accurate description of the car. WHAT??? You can lie about the cars your selling and it's alright??? I even offered to have the car shipped back to them at my expense, but of course he said no way.
DO NOT make the same mistake i made. These guys are crooks and just want your money... And once they have it, all bets are off... And your screwed.
