On 8/11/08 I paid $2500 towards a $3200 repair job. They removed my transmission and then never touched my car again. No new parts had been ordered, nothing had been fixed. Owner is in severe financial trouble and the shop is about to close down. During this entire time, I called repeatedly and was continuously told "a few more days."
Finally, the mechanic spilled everything about the problems the shop/owner was having. Owner had written checks that bounced to parts companies, was then cut off from those companies, there were no tools in the garage, they had been stolen. Owner even drove another customer's car without permission, left it unlocked and it was vandalized. He has no money to pay employees, can't buy parts, can't pay his bills yet is still taking deposits from customers such as myself with no intention or means to make any repairs to these cars. I have names and numbers of two other customers in the same predicament as me. I believe their business licenses, etc. Were even expired and they were about to be evicted.
I went to the facility on 9/24/08 with a friend. We found a crescent wrench, put my car back together so it could at least be towed, collected all the parts and towed it to another shop. And during all this time, the owner vebally told me he would cover my rental car that is at about $1700 right now, like that will ever happen! A complete nightmare! The guys a crook. Do not take your car to P/S Transmission - they will take your money!!!
