I purchased in April an extended warranty on a new car, luckily I never had to use it. So when the warranty expired I turned in the Service Contract Refund Guarantee. I was told when I purchased it that if it went unused, I would get my money back. I paid for all the copies and paperwork and sent it in as requested.
I received a letter a month later saying my refund request has been approved and was being processed. It states "Your check will arrive in approximately 6-8 weeks from the date of this notification letter". That letter was dated May 2, it is now September 9 and I still have no check in hand.
I have called several times only to be told that the money has not been released yet and that they (they being Heritage Administrative Services Customer Service Reps) have no idea when it will be released. I asked about the letter I received and was told it was a standard letter. So being a standard letter I should have received my refund check by now then. They have no informtaion about it and there is no one else there I can speak with.
The customer service reps keep telling me to call back in a FEW weeks to check on it. So I decided to check them out online instead. Well I found that BBB is no longer taking complaints about this company, and that there are a lot of people that have been screwed over by this company.
I trusted the place I purchased my car from, so what does this say about them. I am mad that I went though all the BS to get my money back, but more angry they have all my information and the company seems to be a fraud and has no intention of sending my refund.
