Did not deliver order for almost 5 Months - Refused immediate cancel refund when asked Retail Store - Trail Blazers

I placed an order for 2 locking gas cap doors, one for my truck and one for my son's truck. My son's was delivered in an appropriate amount of time, but mine was not. I started to inquire, and was told that there was a back order, then more of a back order, then more, etc, etc.

All of the blame by Truck Add Ons was placed on one of their Subs that they purchased from, a company called Rampage. I expressed a lot of concern in several emails, but was only told over and over that it was a Rampage problem.

Finally, after 5 months of waiting, I had enough, and told them to cancel my order, and to do so immediately. Their response was that they could not do so until they heard from Rampage. My response was to email them back that this was inacceptable, and then I followed up with a phone call to express the same, but only received the same answer. Their responses to me (in part to protect my identity) are below. This company obviously does not care about their customers, and will not refund promply per my request!

Sarah - I just spoke with you, and am incredelous that your company would even consider treating a customer in this manner. Once again??? This has nothing to do with SLANDER, and everything to do with FACT! For you to even suggest that this is a case of SLANDER is completely out of the realm! This is not a case of SLANDER, but rather one of your company being totally inappropriate to a customer's concern. I have already filed my first concern (see below), and will be following up on this actively over and over again, and will be contacting the appropriate governmental agencies also. Also be advised that my initial internet research to your company has already shown me that other customers have been treated unfairly and filed complaints against you (see below also). The difference here is that I will NOT be stopping at only filing on some internet sites, but I will actively pursue the Government and Better Business Bureau complaints also.

I will continue to do this, and be every agressively more active on doing so until I receive my full refund.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. Please be advised that I will expect my full refund immediately regardless of what Rampage's side does in cancelling my order. This is my expectation as I never ordered from Rampage directly, but rather only through Truck Add Ons, thus the full responsibility should only reside with your company, not one of your "Subs" that you obtain products from, and then resell the products to your customers. As such, I would expect that my cancellation and refund should take place right away without any further delay.

I will also expect that I be given prompt notice that the cancellation and credit has been issued, so that I can track it to my account.

My order has yet to be delivered. I am extremely dissatisfied (to say the least!) with the circumstances surrounding this order.

Please cancel my order effective immediately, and reimburse me the full amount of $56.97 as charged to my credit card on 4-15-08 as part of my initial order totaling $126.89, which included another locking door for my son's pickup.

Please be advised that I no longer wish to hear any additional excuses as to why my order could not be delivered in an almost 5 month period of time. There is no reason that you could provide at this point in time that would justify this inexcusable lapse of a delivery to a customer. All I want to hear at this time is that my credit card has been reimbursed the full amount previously charged.

Failure on your part to immediately process my reimbursement will only result in my reporting these completely inexcusable circumstances to the appropriate governmental agencies that monitor such situations. Failure to immediately process my reimbursement will also result in my posting full information about your companies behavior in this matter on numerous
internet sites so as to alert other potential buyers not to conduct business with your company. Failure to immediately reimburse me will also cause me to make a full reporting to the Better Business Bureau in order that other potential buyers be alerted to not conduct business with your company.

I guess you can see that I am not simply a dissatisfied customer, but also one that is very, very angry at the totally inappropriate treatment that I have received from your company.

It IS NOT my problem that you may have experienced problems with Rampage on delivery dates, but rather your problem that you did not take the appropriate steps to treat a customer of yours in a fair manner.
