I contracted Curtis Fisk, Maryland Aircooled Performance for various portions of work on a 1966 VW Beetle. The car was dropped Sept. 7th the work order states 4 weeks, which I can post along with any other positive identification. Here it is Sept. 8th the car is still in the shop and the progress is sub-standard.
I have been given every excuse in the book. Curtis has avoided and averted me at every turn. I have paid about $6,000.00 from start to now, $3575.00 was given when the car was dropped. Maryland Aircooled Performance is also holding on to about $7,000 - 8,000 worth of parts plus car, motor and trans.
There were no deals, no discounts, nothing other than the facts and a binding contract. As I am not the only victim of this questionable activity please view this thread I created on a large VW enthusiast site. If my car is completed and all work is done professionally and thoroughly. I will update this post, until then I am cautioning others and have a case I.D. Filed with the Attorney General of Maryland. Once they conclude their finding it will be made public and can be viewed as well.
